Intro to Breathwork is a beginner-friendly class designed to reset your nervous system for optimal functioning. Led by instructor JJ Ruescas R., this class takes a collaborative approach to breathwork techniques, meeting you exactly where you are.

Breathwork is the conscious practice of controlling and directing the breath to influence mental, emotional, and physical states. In this introductory session, you will learn foundational techniques including:

  • Diaphragmatic breathing β€” engaging the full capacity of your lungs
  • Box breathing β€” a calming pattern used by Navy SEALs and first responders
  • Alternate nostril breathing β€” balancing the nervous system
  • Connected breathing β€” a gentle introduction to circular breath patterns

The class is designed to be accessible and supportive, with modifications offered for any level of experience. You'll leave with practical tools you can use daily to manage stress, improve focus, and enhance overall wellbeing.
