Ecstatic Dance Oakland - Wednesday Night

Oakland's ecstatic dance returns every Wednesday evening at the stunning Sweets Ballroom. This is a full evening of conscious movement, community, and sound.

Schedule

• 6:45 PM — Doors open
• 7:00 PM — Yoga and contact improvisation classes
• 7:45 PM — Opening circle
• 8:00 PM — Ecstatic dance begins
• 10:15 PM — Sound bath and closing meditation

Three Core Guidelines

• Dance barefoot — connect with the ground beneath you
• Dance without words — maintain a meditative, non-verbal space
• Dance as you are — no drugs, alcohol, phones, cameras, scents, expectations, or judgments

Sweets Ballroom offers a gorgeous, spacious dance floor in the heart of downtown Oakland. Parking is available at Dalziel Garage, 250 Frank H. Ogawa Plaza, Oakland, CA 94612 (secured covered parking). The 19th Street BART station is nearby for easy transit access.
