Holistic nutrition consulting, herbal teas, and sound baths in Austin, TX.
Katie has been doing nutrition work for over a decade. She got her Holistic Nutrition Consultant certificate through Bauman College in California, and she has spent the years since helping people sort out their diets through whole-foods based nutrition, custom supplementation, and wellness coaching. She and her husband Jim moved from California to Central Texas in 2021, and Clean Eating with Katie has been her home base for all of it.
The nutrition side is grounded in ancestral eating. Katie has followed an ancestral diet since 2011, and that personal experience runs through her consulting work. She is a co-chapter leader for the Austin chapter of the Weston A. Price Foundation, which tracks with her focus on traditional foods and local sourcing. If you've been to one of her farm tours or berry picking events around Central Texas, you already know she takes seasonal and local food seriously. These aren't abstract principles for her.
In 2021, Katie started making her own herbal tea blends, beginning with Immuni-Tea Love as a way to help clients support their immune systems. Two more followed: Love Your Liver Tea and Gut Love, both launched in 2023 after what she describes as "much tinkering." The teas are functional, meaning they're designed to do something specific rather than just taste nice. They're part of her broader approach to supporting health through food and herbs rather than jumping straight to pharmaceuticals.
The newer addition to Clean Eating with Katie is sound healing. Katie got her Sound Bath Practitioner certification in 2025, and she now facilitates sound baths in the Austin area. Her signature offering, Sound Bath + Herbal Alchemy, combines the two sides of her practice. You lie down, you listen to the bowls, and there's an herbal component woven in. It's a natural extension of work she was already doing, not a random pivot.
Katie is a breast cancer survivor and lives with Common Variable Immune Deficiency (CVID), which is a condition that weakens the immune system. That context matters because it explains why her work leans so hard into immune support and whole-body health. She's not theorizing about wellness from a comfortable distance. The herbal teas, the nutrition consulting, the emphasis on food as medicine: these came out of her own experience managing real health problems.
She practices yoga, hikes around Central Texas, and spends time outdoors with her dogs Molly and Kora. You can reach her through her website at cleaneatingwithkatie.com or by email at cleaneatingwithkatie@gmail.com.
