Guided meditation for brain health with Lea, and a guided Mahjong lesson with Janet Li. Enjoy a mindful social gathering, tea and treats!

This is a great event for beginners who want to learn the game of Chinese Mahjong, or for those who have some past experience.


March 21 from 11:00am - 2:00pm


We start off with Guided Meditation to focus your mind and get the brain ready to learn.

Then Janet Li will teach you how the game of Mahjong is played. Enjoy a mindful social gathering, and relaxed community atmosphere. Tea and treats.


Janet Li is the amazing owner of SekWuMJ Social. A Hong Kong native, she came to the US when at 10.

Janet remembers watching her aunties and grandparents played mahjong with friends and neighbors for fun and socialization. She brings mahjong to the community because it can bring people together, connecting in wellness and mental health.

"People need to have human interaction more than ever as our world is evolving in technology advancements .

We need real human communication and mahjong is a great way because it encompasses talking with other players, thinking by pattern recognition, feeling of the tiles, sounds of tiles shuffling. These can never be replaced and I feel that’s why is important to do it now and forward." - Janet Li

Mahjong is an art, cultural and intellectual process that should be preserved and passed on generations to come.
