Community Cuddles April 12 Boulder

Hosted by Kassandra Brown

Cuddles, consent, community and tasty snacks.

🌿 Community Cuddles: A Gathering for Healing, Connection & Consent

In a world where we’re constantly connected through screens, we often forget one of the simplest forms of human connection β€” touch. Science and experience agree: consensual, caring touch can calm our nervous systems, ease loneliness, and help us heal. It can lower stress and blood pressure, release trauma, and deepen our sense of belonging.

That’s what Community Cuddles is all about β€” creating a safe, welcoming space to explore platonic, consensual touch in a structured, respectful environment.

Whether you’re craving connection, healing from past experiences, or simply curious, you’re invited to join us for this warm, heart-centered experience. No one is ever required to touch anyone β€” simply being present is enough.

πŸ’› What to Expect

πŸ•‘ 2:30 PM – Arrival & Setup
Settle in, help prepare the space with blankets and pillows, share snacks, and get comfortable.

πŸ•’ 2:45 PM – Welcome Circle (Required for all participants)
We’ll open the event with grounding, introductions, and a consent and boundaries workshop. This is where we practice how to ask for β€” and give β€” clear, verbal β€œyes” or β€œno” responses.
(If you’d like, you can attend just the Welcome Circle β€” no touch required.)

πŸ•“ 3:45 – 5:30 PM – Open Cuddling
Once the container is set, we enter open cuddle time. You may cuddle, sit quietly, or simply observe β€” all choices are valid. Remember: you must ask and receive a verbal β€œyes” before touching anyone.

πŸ•  5:30 – 5:45 PM – Closing Circle
We’ll wrap up by sharing reflections and gratitude before packing up together.

πŸ•• 5:45 – 6:00 PM – Clean Up & Goodbyes
Help fold blankets, finish snacks, and say farewell (or plan your next cuddle adventure!).

🌸 Event Guidelines

Arrive on Time:
Please arrive before the Welcome Circle β€” this ensures everyone understands the rules and feels safe. You may leave anytime after.

Come Clean & Scent-Free:
Shower, brush your teeth, and skip perfumes, essential oils, and smoke smells. Your natural, clean self is perfect.

Stay Sober:
No drugs or alcohol before or during the event.

Dress Comfortably:
Think cozy, not sexy β€” pajamas, sweatpants, or yoga clothes. Please remain clothed (at least shorts and a t-shirt) throughout.

Bring:
Snacks to share, blankets, pillows, or anything that helps you feel cozy. The only required thing to bring is a clean, sober you.

πŸ’¬ Cuddling with Strangers?

It’s normal to feel nervous! You might wonder:

  • β€œWhat if I don’t want to be touched?”
  • β€œWhat if I say yes and change my mind?”
  • β€œWhat if someone says no to me?”

All of that is okay. This is a space to practice asking for what you want and saying no when you need to. You’ll never be pressured to touch anyone β€” ever. Most people arrive a little anxious and leave feeling peaceful, joyful, and deeply connected.
