Human beings are rarely taught how to want.
We are trained to impress, to perform, to signal value — but very few of us ever learn how to name desire directly or meet someone else's desire without defensiveness, pressure, or confusion.
Throughout history, salons, philosophical gatherings, and intimate social circles have served as places where people could explore ideas, attraction, and connection more honestly than in ordinary life.
Pleasure Salon is a modern re-imagining of that tradition.
Held during South by Southwest week, this rooftop social experiment explores how curiosity, consent, and communication transform the way we relate to one another.
Through guided conversation prompts, playful exercises, and intentional social design, we explore the art of wanting — how desire arises, how we express it, and how we meet each other in authenticity rather than performance.
This is not a pickup event.
It is a social laboratory for connection.
You may discover that what people actually want to say to each other is far more interesting than the scripts we normally follow. ✨
