Labyrinth is a kind of maze that is universal, having one continuous path. One crosses the threshold, walks at an individual pace and experiences surprising turns. When the walker reaches the middle, the path continues: the same path and yet different. The path of the labyrinth defines a sacred space where the 2 worlds of the rational mind and the intuitive spirit flow into each other. Often, the walker experiences insights and metaphors for life so far and into the future.

Beginning Feb 7th, we will meet together on Saturdays, at designated labyrinths in Austin. Most of these are in shady areas. They are different styles such as Chartre and concentric paths, paths made of stone, dirt, bricks, plants, and in different parts of Austin.

Experiential Objectives:

Participants will explore the history of labyrinths found in a variety of ancient cultures and religions.

Participants will explore Jungian themes including threshold, shadow material, individuation.

Participants will experience Remembering, Releasing, Receiving, and Returning as we reflect and consider life changes.

April 18th Walk:

South

Butler Metro Park

1000 Barton Springs Rd, Austin, TX 78704

All labyrinths are outdoors. Walkers need to wear comfortable shoes, and wear weather-appropriate clothing for the elements. Bring water/beverage of choice, a pen and a journal to each session. Please leave us your best contact information (phone or email) in case we need to be in touch the day of the walk.
