The evening of May 19th, the moon will be a thin waxing crescent (less than 10% illuminated), providing a darker sky and creating a the perfect atmosphere to allow the Earth's Shine to illuminate the darker side of the moon.
- 7 PM: Check-in & Paddleboarding
- Upon arrival, pick up your reserved paddleboards (or tubes) to enjoy a float before the sky darkens. (boards are pre-reserved at ticketing purchase, limited quantity)
- 7:30 PM β 8:15 PM: Cacao & Music at The Tipi
- A delicious cacao elixir will be served as guests meander the grounds. Enter the tipi in small groups, to enjoy the acoustics of an intimate space.
- 8:15 PM β 9:00 PM: Earthshine Viewing
- As the sun dips, look to the western sky 30β60 minutes after sunset to see the crescent moon in between Venus and Jupiter. This is the prime window for Earthshine viewing. The unlit portion of the moon may be visible due to the sunlight reflecting off the Earth. Above the planetarty trio, the Gemini twin stars will also be visible, adding to the evening's display. Note: no telescope is needed as these are among the brightest objects in the sky, though binoculars will enhance the view of the Moon's craters and Earthshine. Bring your own binos!
- 9:00 PM β 10:00 PM: Sound Bath & Relaxation under the Stars
- Guests settle onto their mats/blankets/chairs for the sound bath portion of the evening, nestled amongst the oak trees on the lawn. The event is bring your own mat/blanket/chair.
