Create & Heal: The Art of Justice

Hosted by Carver Museum ATX

Create and Heal is a unique program that focuses on helping communities to process the continued violence against Black and Brown people.

Create & Heal returns to the George Washington Carver Museum, Cultural, and Genealogy Center for its 8th season ! Join us on Saturday, October 3, 2026 from 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM as local activists, organizations and professionals discuss the impact of the Nolan Wells case and its similarities to the Emmet Till Case and examine methods to counteract racism in today's social climate.

Community is invited to join the discussion, talk to professionals from Austin Public Health and other mental health and wellness organizations, learn about free law school programs, and enjoy light refreshments in community.

This season, we've also expanded the Create & Heal experience to include a pop-up farmer's market proudly presented in partnership with 10,000 Fearless First Responders. Together, we'll stay nourished, practice cooperative economics, and food justice.
