Join us in a weekly yoga practice at the Irish Center
Class: Hatha style - or in other words, a slower paced flow of postures with some light breathwork and meditation as well
Note: Attendees must bring their own yoga mat. It is also recommended to bring a blanket or cushion and/or yoga blocks.
About the Instructor: Karen Olivia Kiely is a 300-hour trained yoga teacher from Cork. Karen moved to San Francisco in 2011 and it was here she began her yoga teaching journey, completing her initial training in 2019 and later continuing her education in both California and Ireland. She leads summer yoga retreats in Ireland and teaches yoga classes in San Francisco and online. Karen's yoga classes provide a welcoming space for all bodies, genders and ages to gently move, breathe, and practice presence. She infuses her classes with Celtic wisdom, astrological insights and the cúpla focail. Karen operates from the ethos that yoga isn't about being good at something, it's about being good to yourself, and is delighted to be guiding the UICC community in weekly yoga practice.
