Join in for an afternoon of meditative paper marbling at Alewife Brewing. Led by Kelly Laughlin, artist, writer, and founder of Odette Press, you'll learn the basics of the suminagashi marbling process and find creative flow as you make your own marbled paper.

This process is simple, inspiring, and relaxing. You'll take colorful inks and float them on the surface of water, then place paper down to make mesmerising prints. Drop out of the busy week and into a creative flow as you explore suminagashi and the nature of paper.

Grab a drink from the Alewife bar and flow with ink, breath, paper, and water. No experience necessary. This workshop is great for beginners. Save your spots today!

The Flow:

• Arrive and grab a seat and a drink from the Alewife bar
• A simple creative prompt to spark inspiration
• A short introduction and history of the suminagashi marbling process
• Instruction/demo on the materials and process
• Relax into the flow and spend the rest of your time exploring ink, color, and shape as you create your collection of marbled papers
